This Sunday was the finale of the celebration of life for Frank Watson. Frank played an integral part in the lives of many non-white LGBTQIA+ in New York, providing a safe environment not only to dance and party in, but also to fellowship and make connections. As a transplant to the city, I never got the opportunity to experience one of his events, but the patrons let me know emphatically that Frank Watson was that guy.  The most prevailing narrative is that he was so loving. The self-described “Mr. Southern Charm,” was loved by many and is truly missed.
