This weekend I ventured into the western province of Charles Towne known as West Ashley. I stopped by the King Street Grille located in the Citadel Mall for First Friday hosted by Bonafide entertainment. King Street Grille offers a spacious interiors with patio seating for people needing fresh air or a nicotine fix. DJ B-Lord provided the tunes along with his signature “Happy Juice,” which is a concoction of Grey Goose and other spirits. This monthly event caters to an urban crowd of young and semi professionals. The bartenders are friendly and relatively quick. The upper level VIP area provides both seclusion and a bird’s eye view of the goings-on off the night.
This month’s crowd seemed a little more reserved than previous revelers, but fun none the less. A misunderstanding led to fisticuffs that was promptly handled by security. The drinks continued flowing and the dancers continued twerking. All in all, Bonafide entertainment provided a chill atmosphere conducive for getting your groove on as well as meeting new friends.
